IBPS IT Officer 2016(Scale-1) - Eligibility Criteria
(1) Educational Qualification
- 4 year Engineering Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation
Or
- Post Graduate Engineering Degree in Electronics/ Electronics & Tele Communication/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications
Or
- Graduate having passed DOEACC ‘B’ level
(2) Age Limit
- Minimum - 20 years
- Maximum - 30 years
- Age Relaxation - 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, 10 years for persons with Disability, 5 years for Ex-Servicemen, Commissioned Officers including Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs)/ Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs) who have rendered at least 5 years military service, Persons ordinarily domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 1-1-80 to 31-12-89, Persons affected by 1984 riots

Q: I have completed BE/ B.Tech Mechanical engineering.
A: You are not eligible to apply
Q: Should I need experience for IT Officer position?
A: No.Freshers are also eligible
Q: I did my degree through correspondence (distance education).Shall I apply?
A: Yes.
Q: Are Electrical & Electronics/ Electrical engineering degree holders eligible?
A: No.EEE is not mentioned under the list of educational qualifications given in the notification.So its not possible to apply.
Q: Can MCA graduates apply for IT Officer?
A: Yes.Ofcourse.
Q: I will complete my course in May 2016 / I am in final semester/year.
A: You must be a graduate as on December 10, 2015.So final year students are not eligible for IBPS SO recruitment.
